Voters Trust GOP More than Democrats on Eight of 10 Key Issues

Rasmussen Reports has daily tracking and many other polls. One of these polls is the Trust Issues that tracks generically between Democrats and Republicans.
Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They've also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education.
I wanted to add this tidbitof information from Under the Dome Memo.
POLITICAL NUMBERS: The state wasted $635 million, or 25 percent of the money it spent on community services over three years. Meanwhile, Rep. David Lewis, a Dunn Republican, launched a campaign to show that the Democrats are using faulty math in describing a budget deficit. And early this week, the legislature enacted its 272nd law of the still-going session.

Watchdog office says NC could have saved $226M

For a group of politicians to be content with raising taxes and costing jobs, they sure are not concerned with wasting over $225 million. Will Rosa Gill challenge Speaker Hackney on his apathy towards jobs in North Carolina? No is the answer I see and hear. We need someone who will look out for the best interests of the district and North Carolina.
The report from the Legislature's Program Evaluation Division determined better planning and oversight was needed from the start for a series of new clinically based services designed to leverage more federal money from Medicaid. Enthusiasm over getting the services in place to the needy may have hindered those controls.

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone had a awesome 4th of July. I write to honor the service of our military and leaders dating back to the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War. And let us not forgot the millions of volunteers whose service to our communities that make lives better for those who need our help.


We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.



I want everyone to fully understand that given the rights of the people, my job is to listen to whether I agree with a position you espouse or not. I make no claims to have all of the answers. I do claim that I was raised by my parents to be fair, honest, and to consider how my actions will effect others. The mission to represent the citizens is of the upmost importance. What I see from my opponent from the start after her APPOINTMENT to house 33 is the Party Line.

I will fight for a responsible budget and tax policy that will encourage small, medium, and large corporations in District 33 to grow and hire more workers. It is not right to penalize the people for being succesful and fruitful.

It is embarrasing to be banning plastic grocery bags in elected counties and not getting a budget passed on time. It is not acceptable for the party in total control of the General Assembly to be unable to accomplish that important goal. Where is the Democratic Party? They were not at the Raleigh Independence Day Tea Party and have been absent here in this state for years.

I will demand transparency of our state agencies

It is a well known fact that has been reported by the News & Observer, Carolina Journal, and now the John Locke Foundation on the lack of open accountability and transparency of our state agencies. It seems we are being racked by weekly scandals about pay to play and buddy deals within our state government. The one party rule of the Democrats has been a definite drag on our state economically and budget wise. If elected I will DEMAND that every state agency will be regularly audited to include the State Auditor's office.

Most state agencies fall far short in providing taxpayers with access to information about their work, according to a new survey of transparency in government.
The John Locke Foundation this week unveiled nctranparency.com, an ongoing look at how state and local agencies in terms of making information available to the public.


I need your help to return the vision back to North Carolina about jobs and not how much someone can make off of the government. Your donations will be critical to winning next year. With the Democrats having a fundraising advantage, every Republican candidate will need to make the most of their donations.

Tax avalanche is gaining steam against NC workers

I want to say again that during the last decade the Democratic leadership has proven to be unable to balance a budget or plan for down times like we have now. The current NC State House 33 representative is Democrat Rosa Gill. She was the chairman of the Wake County School Board where members of that board are leaving as fast as they can. No one in the press has asked her.

Here is a link to a article in the News and Observer on another corporation who is no longer doing business in North Carolina. This is because of the Democratic Party members along a party line vote creating new taxes. They are creating new taxes because they have lost focus on what it takes to run a government with a balanced and moderate tax system.

"It's painful to have to terminate these relationships with affiliates, simply because they live in states where counterproductive (and likely unconstitutional) laws are being passed," said Patrick Byrne, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Overstock.com in a news release. "However, politicians have to remember that a tax is a price that government charges for a service, and when they raise their prices, we're going to buy less of their services."

Democratic leadership running small businesses out of the state

I want to paste a quote from the article concerning some of the tax reforms passed the Democratic Party in the NC General Assembly. One part of the law will cause referrals to corporations like Amazon.com to stop paying referral payments to other online sites advertising Amazon products. Please read this quote but also read the entire article. Also realize that every job and tax dollar that leaves the state is a negative impact on all of our lives and the state of our local economies.
"There's not enough left to make a mortgage payment," said Owings who runs his Web site, GPSTracklog.com, from Asheville. "Unless the legislature changes this, we're moving out of state. We're taking our business and all the income tax we're paying with us."

Democrats want to raise your blue collar taxes

North Carolina lawmakers are considering taxing a broad variety of everyday services. You could pay more for a haircut, a pedicure, a clutch replacement or getting your yard mowed. But the services of accountants, lawyers and other white-collar workers would be exempt.

We have to create circumstances to allow the economy to grow. To allow businesses to hire workers that would create a positive circle in growing the economy.

We need the government to plan better and to live within its means. Raising taxes to the $1 Billion plus that they want to will only wreck the economy.
